Description
The Inertia Switch Inc. model 6UO-924 was developed for the use in Aircraft Restraint Systems. When a predetermined amount of acceleration over time (velocity) is experienced, a strong burst of electrical energy can be delivered to a bridge wire(s) to initiate a gas delivery system. A fast response while not being inadvertently activated is extremely important in air bag applications. With no power needed, this device meets stringent EMI and HIRF specifications.
